This is not on the apps list. Can I add it on to it? I tried to share screen from my iPhone but it didn’t work
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Good shout - I have a fire stick already so that would solve the issue. Won’t take the bitter taste away from the lies, but thanks for your comments & pointing this out 👌🏼

Unfortunately not - screen share should work though, I’d re-investigate that, otherwise as @Weerab2024 mentioned below, you could view the Disney App via a firestick if you have one?

@AEvans10 yes the app is available on roku, fire sticks, apple TV boxes and some smart TVs depending on their age and operating system.

Terrible - EE you need to get the Disney+ App - moved from Sky - my kids are devastated - that is what they watch the most.

I guess you didn’t do your homework - maybe you should have chosen the AppleTV Box instead of the Box Pro, as the AppleTV does have Disney+
But it’s probably not too late to call EETV and ask for the swap.
But then you lose the ability to make recordings, and maybe that is out of the frying pan into the fire for you?
So first, check your TV; if it’s Smart, and reasonably modern, it may have the Disney app on it, or you may be able to download it from the TV’s AppStore.
Failing that, a Roku device or an Amazon Firestick will have it, and you can add one of those to your TV for £30 (Roku HD) or £50 (Roku 4K). Firesticks are £40 or £60, and I don’t like them so much, except when Amazon have them discounted.
Plug it in a spare HDMI port on the TV, nothing else to pay, except the Disney+ subscription.

Judging by the replies to this thread EE need to address this issue asap. I have just joined EEtv and like many ex Sky subscribers I want the same flexibility. I expect to have the flexibility to add whatever apps I like not just told it’s not available. I think there is more to this and will look into it. Finally, It doesn’t seem to be an issue for Samsung? Maybe they are more interested in what their customers want rather than telling them what they can do!

YouView, whose software underlies the Box Pro, has been like this since its inception in 2012. The apps it carries are integrated into the searches and other aspects of the underlying software. Any devices you can just add apps to, they are going to be siloed; not the YouView way.
But when you look into it, do tell us what you find.
Samsung, historically, have always had the widest range of apps; other manufacturers have struggled more. I take it you have a Samsung TV? In which case, you should find a siloed copy of the Disney app on it that you can watch fairly readily; it’s not as if the subscription would be any less or any different if Disney was on EETV.
Again though, the EETV AppleTV offers Disney, and you can add any apps to it that you can find in the Apple AppStore; if you would prefer this freedom, ask EETV to swap out your Box Pro for one of these. Who needs to record these days anyway?

@Dellstar You can not install an app that the owner of that service hasn’t created for that product. EE don’t own the rights to distribute services that are not theirs.
So perhaps you should be asking Disney why.

I had exactly the same thing. They didn’t cancel sky for me as they said they would so I’ve had two extra bills they haven’t paid for and had to cancel myself. Very disappointed as I had high hopes
