Confusion over the number of mini tv boxes you can have on a contract.

Hi Darren

When I switched by broadband and TV from BT to EE I was told by the sales person I spoke to that I could have two mini tv boxes, I already had one with BT along with the BT tv pro box. The EE sales person told me to keep the BT mini box and that they would arrange to send me another.

However, I am now receiving letters and text messages asking me to return the BT mini box. I tried calling customer services but the person I spoke to did not seem to understand my request, after a quick google it seems that I can have two mini tv boxes and the pro box, so I am confused. Could you please confirm my findings and if I am correct how do I go about keeping the two mini tv and the pro box?

Do they say to specifically return the mini box?  Our records show you have a TV Recordable TV Box - has that been returned?

Your account correctly has a 2 mini box subscription, so it'd be odd to ask for the other mini box back.

Yes, the letter states to return the TV Box Mini  (BT) or I may be charged £75.00. What I currently have at home is 1 x BT TV Pro Box, 1 x EE Router, 1 x BT mini TV box and 1 x EE mini TV box.

I have returned the BT smart hub which BT/EE have confirmed receipt. BTW please do not ask me to return the BT TV Pro Box as it is full up with recordings that my wife has made, lol.

OK no problem - I'll get that returns order cancelled.  You can ignore it.
