Chromecast HD 'No Internet' message and IPv6

I have a wierd problem with my Chromecast HD connecting to an EE router via an EE extender. The Chromecast keeps giving a notification that it's lost its internet connection when it hasn't (the Chromecast very briefly says 'No Internet' in the status area then the notfication pops up). This message pops up every couple of minutes or so and ruins anything I'm watching but mainky in YouTube. Google doesn't want to know saying it's an EE problem as it doesn't happen when I connect via my phone's mobile hotspot (connected to the same wifi) or if I turn the extender off and connect to the main router (very poor signal as oppsoed to excellent with the extender on). When I look at the device in the router Hub Manager My Network, the device has hundreds of IpV6 GUAs which doesn't happen with other devices....see pics. Anyone come across and resolved this?

The one that it is presenting to the hub - although that would also be a good test, to confirm whether turning off randomisation fixes the issue (e.g. if the hub is somehow making the Chromecast think it's changing network, causing it to generate a new Mac address - this would explain the multiple IPs).

Hello

I've sent through some info re the error messages to the email you shared. The random Mac address and IPv6 settings change had no effect unfortunately.

Let's see where this leads.

I am not marking this as a solution as its pretty much the nuclear option but in the end the issue seemed to be around my very dodgy FTTC connection. I have gone full fibre and the issue has stopped (as of the last two weeks...fingers crossed). YouTube in particular must have been very sensistive to my unstable copper to the cabinet connection and kept thinking the connection was down frequently.

Anyway thanks for all the comments and assistance from the product experts.

Well turned out this wasn't the solution after all. Since install of my FTTP two months ago the Chromecast has worked flawlessly, but last night (22nd Dec) the disconnect issues came back.........can anyone confirm if there's been any updates either router or chromecast side of things over the past week?

Well the return of the problem only lasted that one night.....odd.....all working fine again now.
