Channel Updates (IP Mode)

How will WBD linear channel changes next week impact EETV  IPmode EPG . If I understand correctly  HGTV (46)  is no longer broadcasting fromn 14 Jan . Availability of any IPmode  recordings on this channel post 13 Jan is unclear.   I presume that reported changes to Really and Quest channel numbers on Freeview platforms will eventually be mirrored on EETV IP EPGs. but should have no impact on their viewing or recordings, Will TLC be available as an  EETV FreetoAir IP mode channel and if so will it be HD or SD  and when will this take effect ? When will the EPG data be available to set future recordings on TLC assuming that it is to be provided ?

(WBD adverts/promos that have been running on some EETV TNT sports chanbels  imply that TLC should be available on platforms that currently have HGTV. )

Update:

Quest moves from channel 12 to 17 (where Really is now).

Really moves from 17 to 44 (where HGTV is now).

TLC HD will appear on channel 12 (where Quest was).

TLC HD is being processed as a replacement for HGTV, so they'll share the same licence key - this means HGTV recordings will continue to be watchable as long as TLC HD remains.

Recordings scheduled for Quest or Really will moved to their new channel locations automatically.  At the moment, it looks it won't be possible to view the TV Guide or schedule any recordings for TLC HD until it launches.  They may choose to put the programmes in the HGTV schedule, however that has the potential to cause confusion.

It's already being worked on - it should all be seamless, matching with the Freeview experience as close as we can.

HGTV (44) is already showing no schedule from the 15th - I've asked how long recordings will remain watchable.

TLC will appear in the TV Guide next week (date TBC) - the plan is to launch in HD, but it's still being tested.

Thanks for the updates. Good that they are going down the HD route.

Observing the likely TLC  schedules from listings sites it does look like initially the popular programming will be repeated a few times so I suspect not having the schedule in  advance of launch will not be too much of an inconvience
