We've had a similar thread about this in the past, and normally it's not possible to swap recordings from one box to another.
Why is it you're planning on changing boxes?

When did you get the box?
If it was before 13/12/2019 then it's yours to keep.
As to copying off programmes the yes it is possible for SD recordings only but it means mounting the HDD in a Unix/Ubuntu environment copying the relevant files , renaming them to a readable format & then converting them to MP4/MKV format and then playing them via a media server.
