Can no longer add extras in app

I can no longer add tv extras in the ee app. When I click add on something such as now cinema or now sports it just loads the re tv web page and suggests I have to buy it. All my account details are in the app and service id all working.
Tried to call ee but overall useless. 4 phone calls god knows how many times being bounced and no one has a clue. Anyone got similar issues? Was all working for me to self add and remove stuff about 2 months ago.

@fjnf_shjh

You do have to buy it - extras aren’t free.

But as I imagine you knew that, I suspect that this isn’t quite your problem?

Are you by any chance in the last three months of your contract, when EETV inexplicably remove your flexibility?

Didnt imply i want anything for free, if there is a button that says Now Cineam, 9.99 and a Add button, it should add it to my package not take me to the EE website to get EE broadband and TV. I already have them. And yes they are the new EE TV, with Apple TV, and EE Broadband, taken out in July last year.

Thanks for the clarification. Perhaps the EETV Guides were similarly confused.

I just took Netflix up a notch a couple of days ago, and that worked fine, but I can’t test for your issue as there’s nothing else I can adjust 😢

But it sounds like your account isn’t properly linked - I wonder if @DarrenDev has any better advice than to get back on 150 with a clear description of the issue, and ask for any Guide that still doesn’t understand the problem to escalate it to someone who does?

When I left BT on October 31st, it wasn't possible for EE broadband customers to change their EE TV subscription online or in the app, and it was expected to be January at the very earliest before it was expected to become available ... so I'm surprised to hear that it previously worked for you @fjnf_shjh ?

As far as I'm aware, the only way to change your subscription is to call.

@DarrenDev

I changed my Netflix tier a few days back, and I can also see:-

Looks like EETV beat its deadline…

(I’ve actually got Boost, so it isn’t quite perfect yet, though 😛)

I wasnt changing subscription was adding packages, there isnt a option to change the base package - thats never been there but the Add button for Now Cinema, Now Sports, TNT Sports has been there all along. Used and cancelled sports already using this.

Cant seem to do it via the phone as they say they cant do it either, saying that I dont have a Apple TV from EE which I do and they keep trying to get me to add a EE TV Pro box. Saying they cant see it on my account unless they look at the things sent to me and can see the apple tv.

Absolute mess. Tried to report it, they put me through to three departments, none of them knew anything about TV at all. a hour of time wasted and didnt get anywhere.

Christmas miracle - Now TV Ultra released ahead of schedule too.

Regarding this specific issue though - I wouldn't allow the call to be ended until either the fault is fixed, or the agent has confirmed that a fault was raised for further investigation.

@DarrenDev

Whoopee!

But Ultra isn’t (yet?) on that screenshot I took; can I phone up for it?

Maybe I misread it? It looked like it had become available when moving to the "free HD" package?

(Remember I have no inside information anymore - I only see what you guys see).
