Is the Apple TV app on the EE TV Box Pro, the full version of Apple TV, including access to movies/TV shows purchased in iTunes, or it is just Apple TV+?
I’ve currently got Sky Q which only has Apple TV+ but I would like one box which gives me access to all TV services. I am looking at either the EE TV Box Pro or the EE Apple TV. The EE TV Box Pro looks promising but for the possible lack of Apple TV. I like the idea of the EE Apple TV but the lack of recording or even pausing live TV puts me off that.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

EE TV app version 3.1.0 is now available in the App Store for Apple TV devices, and devices will automatically update it over the next few hours. You can update it yourself by opening the App Store, selecting Purchased (at the top), All Apps (on the left), select the EE TV app, and then the Update button.
Once updated, you'll then be able to pause/rewind live TV up to an hour behind the live position - even if you only just joined the channel.
Please note that some channels haven't given us permission to allow them to rewind - where this is the case, you'll see a small red no-entry icon to indicate that it's not possible. We're still trying to get agreement from more channels, so keep checking if the channel you're watching doesn't yet support it.

@DarrenDev would being able to rewind if you are just on the channel be able to come to the EE TV Pro or mini box at some point? Thanks

Unfortunately not @Weerab2024 , due to the way the content is delivered - multicast can only deal with live streams, with limited ability to go back just a few seconds to catch missed packets. The channels are delivered using ABR to Apple TV, allowing us to store history and allow clients to request it.

Thanks @DarrenDev.
Obviously not the answer I was looking for, but looks like apple TV is the flagship for EE now, and more of a competitor to Sky Stream, hopefully if we can get more channels on the entertainment side.

I wouldn't say it's the flagship - the TV Box Pro is still our main box, and the most popular with subscribers. They have different technical capabilities, and the service is being developed to make the most of each.
Apple TV now has the ability to go back in time, but lags a few seconds behind live in the first place - so if you're a live sports fan, the TV Box Pro is probably the better choice.
No matter what happens, more channels for one will mean more channels for the other - the plan is to keep the channel list on TV Box Pro internet mode and EE Apple TV completely in step with each other.

Thanks Darren.
Will be good to see how the TV Pro and mini boxes develop and what happens with any potential future updates.
