Anyone had trouble getting in contact with EE recently? I have been trying for 24 hours but phone lines keep saying closed despite saying opening via their opening hours. Also tried the chat with ‘Bert’ but the bot just doesn’t reply once you say you’re a personal user.
stressed! Imagine not having customer service at Christmas time. Won’t be going with this network again.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

EE Business Customer Service opening hours are listed here: https://business.ee.co.uk/help/contact-us/get-in-touch/
These differ from Consumer CS opening hours which are listed here: https://ee.co.uk/help/contact-ee/account-billing/mobile-phone .
EE Business encompasses everything from Sole Traders and SMEs to large Corporate accounts.
It is not possible to be both a Business customer and a Consumer (or "personal user") for the same account, although some of the same Consumer price plans may be available to Business customers.
The type of customer you signed up for your account as is what dictates your Customer Service contact options.
This means trying to use the "Bert" Business customer chat tool for a Consumer account would get you nowhere, as would ringing a normal EE front line Consumer number as a Business customer.

@Emmamorrison I’ve literally just called to test this out. Works fine for me, what number are you using to call customer support ?

You've posted in the business section of the forum but mentioned that you're a personal customer.
Which are you?
