Hi currently using iPhone 15 plus & using my inclusive extra for Apple Music until it’s time for holidays then I swap out Apple Music for free roaming 

my query is what’s the best way of saving a playlist to my phone to listen to whilst flying in airplane mode without taking out another subscription

Welcome to the EE Community

Apple Music does require an active subscription for offline playback and to be honest I think all other music streaming subscriptions are the same. 

When you remove Apple Music as your extra you could try seeing if you qualify for the one free month that Apple offer if you have not had it before. Or similarly the 6 months free we offer if you have not had it before through us.
