Hi, I had a phone call from EE yesterday - number 020 8153 3812. Said my sim card would be blocked in 3 days time and that I needed a new sim. Asked for my email address which I gave and then received a 6 digit code. I then had to tell the woman on the phone the code. She then asked me for my account password which I refused to give so she set up a new password. She then said the Sim would arrive the next day, could I supply my address. I refused as I was very suspicious at this stage and then hung up. Is this a scam?
Thanks
Tina

Hello @Teenie2026 ,
Welcome to the community,
Yes it is a scam, I would strongly advise you to change your password for your email address, as this could result in spam etc.
If you did not give out any personal details, then you should otherwise be ok, but I would also advise you to ring customer service to make sure that your details and mobile number are safe.
You can also forward the number that the person rang you from to the fraud team.
