I am a disabled lady in my 60s who has been asked/told to move to EE and since I agreed it has been constant communications and you trying to get me to do things I don't know how to do and numerous adverts for things I do not want I have just had a call from a man who claimed to be from the security department who said there is something wrong with my admin? on the internet is that true or not?
I would like you to email me what is wrong if something is wrong and please use properly sized type the welcome letter you sent me had tiny little writing on the front page
Btw the one of parcels that was booked to come tomorrow arrived today on its own so I hope i get the other tomorrow

Sounds like a scam! Did he address you by name from the start? There are many unsolicited scammers calling to say "I'm from your ISP/ Microsoft/ BT / phone provider/ ... & there is something wrong/ a virus / you've been hacked /... with your BB / computer / phone / .." without even knowing who you are.
What no. did he call from?

Thanks for replying
I want a phone that works a telly that works and a laptop that works I don't want to be hassled and told to reset them EE is very difficult for older people to navigate the three guides I have spoken to were very nice and helpful and I thought I had cracked it then I get a random call about something I do not understand and it upset me. It doesn't help that I have poor mobility and tire easily. I will have to see if he rings back or not. My sister came over and checked my Norton Security and it seems ok

He said he was ringing from Bt but he could have got my name out the phone book they always say don't engage with people who cold call or refuse to give you a number to ring them back on

Good evening @Bee7532, welcome to the EE Community.
I'm really keen to make sure you're safe after the phone call that you received here, as like @XRaySpeX mentioned there can be a lot of fraudulent calls that pose as internet service providers or reps from tech companies.
What number was it that called you here, and have you shared any personal details with them, or allowed them access to any of your accounts?

Or even worse allowed them access to your computer?

I am alright I did not share any details with him he rang me on my Bt house phone I think the number started with 021
They will have had NO chance of getting into my accounts as I refused to engage and rang off but it did upset me because after i hung up I though what was that all about?
The move to EE from Bt has been a bit stressful and chaotic for example I have had a few texts telling me my equipment was coming on Saturday but one package arrived today unexpectedly and then I got a text to say I was getting another parcel on Monday I can get to the door but I am a bit slow, Also I got a text to say I have to send the old equipment back by post so I will have to ask one of the family to do that and I don't like being a pest
I will just put the phone straight down if anyone else rings - my lovely sister is coming round on the day the engineer comes to do the work so I am not worried about that
Thank you for asking if I am alright it was good of you x
