I recently had someone try to scam me but they failed as I noticed in time and secured my account and cancelled their unauthorised order, I am pretty sure the txt messages I'm getting are scam messages and not genuine EE contact
Scam??
Scam or genuine?
Thank you
Dean

Good morning @Hlr02.
Welcome to the EE Community!
We always view security as a top priority, and if you haven't already I'd definitely recommend heading to the EE app to reset your password.
Have you had a chance to reach out to our customer care team so they can check these orders out and get them flagged with our fraud team?
You can reach someone right away on 150 from your EE mobile, or also by checking out our contact pages on the link below:

@Cyborgtf3 : It looks genuine. 66033 is a short code EE uses for texts. You should know whether or not you ordered said phone from EE.

The start of my message I said someone had tried to scam me, they had gained acsess to my account and ordered an iPhone 15, I managed to intervene and get the order cancelled prior to dispatch, EE have started a fraud investigation so it seemed strange to get support txts for an order that had been cancelled and flagged up as fraudulent
Thx

You never said the phone mentioned in the text was that which you cancelled. As it's a genuine EE text I should phone EE & query why they sent it.

It's definitely EE.

We had the same thing and 2 phones have been ordered which we didn’t order. Wonder if ee has been hacked?

I rang EE and to be honest the chap I spoke to was fantastic, he managed to cancel the order prior to dispatch so the scammer gained nothing and the flexpay on my account was cancelled, he also added extra security checks when contacting EE to log into my account, it's sad times that there are so many folk out there that just want to rip others off but I'm reassured EE do take this seriously and will help as much as possible, I hope you get the orders cancelled and also if it's jot suggested request extra security measures when dealing with EE and allowing information / changes been made, better to be safe than sorry, looking through the community it seems EE are targeted by the low life on a few occasions but the size of EE I don't know what more they can do to keep us safe, just be vigilant.
Ringers and toes crossed for you
