@Jaycurz @Dlee-75    Forward the message to 7726 ( SPAM) then the number when prompted.      It most definitely is a scam,

Morning @Jaycurz

Welcome to the EE Community 👋

As @Chris_B pointed out, this definitely isn't a genuine message from us. We'd never ask you to log into a link via text if there was a payment issue.

Just to be sure, did you attempt to log into this page or provider any personal details?

Peter

No

I left the message and logged in through my app to double check things and report it via the ‘help’ facility

I'm glad to hear that, @Dlee-75 😊

If you're ever unsure of a message it's always best to give us a shout so you can be 100% sure.

We also have a handy guide on how to spot these kind of messages right HERE.

Hi I'm new here.

I received, what I believe to be a scam text the other day.  It was a PCN text, very vague.  No details of my car, reg or area etc.  I posted it on 'nextdoor' and most people came back confirming I was right and said they had something very similar.

It's quite difficult to speak to someone at EE now so I thought I would try here.

Many thanks.

Hey @kmh15995!

Welcome to the EE Community, and thanks for taking the time to flag this with us too!

You've definitely made the right call here; as you pointed out, the total lack of detail about your car, the location and the date and time of the supposed offence are the key giveaway.

To get this flagged with our security team, can you please forward the message to 7726?

We'll reply back right away asking for the number it was sent from too.

Peter

@kmh15995   Definitely a scam as you would receive a later not a text message about a PCN charge.   For a start they wouldn’t know your phone number to send a text about a PCN.

That's great thanks.  Actually, I tried to report it to the 7726 and got this back immediately i.e. it didn't work.
