Telesales calls from EE

Have had a few calls from 01914297590, which shows as EE, but when I answered this morning I was given the hard sell on new add-ons to my contract.

Guy was perfectly nice + was able to send me a verification message from the same number as the regular EE texts, but something about it felt off. EE have never tried to sell me stuff this way before.

Is this number genuine? I tried goggling and can't find any results

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the community. You are very right to be cautious and to check in to make sure it is a legitimate call. 

If the call is from a number that does not show on Numbers EE partners will call from then i would recommend Report a scam call so we can get it checked out.

That no. is from Inspired, 1 of EE's Direct partners

I just got a call from this number too. No message was left. Coincidentally, I messaged the x account yesterday. I don't know why they are contacting me I prefer to call EE and deal directly for my own safety!

I do remember them or another similar contacting before. I put the phone down as I wasn't sure!

As @XRaySpeX mentioned earlier in the thread, the number in the original post is that of Inspired, one of our partners. If you would prefer to deal with EE directly, I recommend speaking with our customer support team on 150 and they'll be happy to help.
