Suspicious call - is it legitimate?

I've just been called by 07934 487610 - it was someone who sounded like they were in an Indian call centre. They said the network had been switched over and my SIM card is going to be deactivated in 2 days. They said I needed to speak to a manager to confirm what time was best for a new SIM card to be sent out. Is this a legitimate call or a scam? They didn't ask for any personal details but it seemed suspicious.

Also I haven't received any emails from EE flagging that my SIM card is going to be deactivated which also raised red flags.

@jennym106 : Probably not! As it's coming from a mobile no. it'll be a scam.

I had a very similar call around 5.30pm yesterday. Unfortunately I followed through the call, which involved signing on to the real EE website, but only gave away my email address verbally. I googled the number, 020 8163 4911, and it came up as a possible phone scam. I then rang EE Technical Support, who was reassuring about security and said if any 'SIM card' arrives, dispose of it. I've blocked the number and am keeping the phone off as long as possible.
