New scam alert: eenetwork@eesalesdepartment.co.uk

Hi Everyone,

I have been called by an unknown number that claims I am eligible for a 40% discount on either an upgrade or my current bill. I have not received any messages via the app or on my account that suggest this is the case. They also wanted asked for me email address, home address and postcode, which they should have as part of my information, so I did not share any additional info.

I wanted to share this, as I worry others may be caught in this scam and wondered who I need to speak to to get this resolved. For your information, these are the contact details they reached out with:

 eenetwork@eesalesdepartment.co.uk and +44 2045153593.

Any tips or comments are welcome, thanks!

That domain, faked to look like EE, was created in Germany.

Today, I received a call from a number  - 02032892195 offering a monthly package at a discounted rate of £3 per month. I requested that they send me all the details via email, and they used the email address ee.mail@eenetwork.info to send the information.

They later called me back to confirm if I had read the email. I told them not to scam people like this. In response, they said something in an Indian language and then hung up the call.
