I got this text today - from 150. All the numbers on my account t got it at exactly the same time - reported to EE but not able to report that it was to all the numbers. We have unlimited calls and data so guess it’s a scam.
“Hi from EE. Heads up - we've noticed your phone usage is higher than usual. If this continues, you might not be able to make calls or send texts. Please visit ee.co.uk/go/login or call 150 to check your balance or make a payment. Thanks.”

This is a legitimate text message from EE.
Although you may have unlimited standard calls and data, it's still possible to incur additional costs from calling chargeable numbers or third party services.
I'd recommend logging into your online account to check a breakdown of the additional charges.
Alternatively you can call 150 where a Customer Service guide will be able to give you the details.

I've got the exact same text to all the numbers in my account today. We've just renewed contracts with unlimited data, calls and texts. I've also struggled to get onto my account. I think it's a scam or something has happened at EEs end

What is happening when you are trying to check your EE account?
It is worth checking the spend on the account just in case there has been anything outside of your standard unlimited allowances.

No it's a scam. I have just received this text and I have no usage limits. And saying that a customer may not be able to make calls and texts is a way to scare them and make them panic into handing over bank details.

It's a classic reaction scam. Make the victim scared that they won't be able to make calls and send texts and they'll hopefully panic and react by handing over bank details for payment.

I know you've posted this across several other threads, but I wouldn't be so sure. Posting it twice in this thread alone won't alter that.
Bank details would normally be requested by means of a phishing "click here to update your details" message. These messages specifically ask you to call CS on 150 who already have your bank details.
There may be a system error, but this doesn't have any of the usual hallmarks of a scam.

So what if I've posted it over multiple threads? The bit about saying you may not be able to make calls or send texts makes it a scam. Because it's designed to scare you and make you panic into acting.

@Dan0879 yes by calling customer support that’s not a scam as you know you are calling EE customer support. A scam ends up with you clicking a link thinking it’s an official link from EE so you end up entering your information on a scam website. You calling customer support on the official customer support number ( 150 ) isn’t a scam.
And as you say “may not be able” doesn’t imply will not be able, these are two different things entirely.

Except the text message gives a link. Which is obviously to a fake EE website.
