I received a strange message from EE that they had not been able to process my bill.  I was told to update at https://ee-service-menu.web.app from a mobile message ( mobile no: 07396801537.  I have already paid my bill on 1st September, and acknowledged by EE on 150 SMS message.  So is that a fake website and mobile number.  Is that a scam?  I did not click on the weblink.

@Elizabeth888    That’s a scam.    it wasn’t from EE    EE will not send you a link to login to your account.
Report it by forwarding the text to 7726 ( SPAM) and then the number when prompted.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hello, thank you for your advice.  I have tried forwarding it but there is no way that I can do so.  By the way, I am using Huawei P40 Pro smartphone, but there is no feature for me to forward any phone message.  Please advise me again on how to do it.  Thank you!

Sorry, I forgot to explain that the features that are allowed on my phone message are :

. delete, create a new contact, add to existing contact, edit before call, and add to blocklist.

So there is no way that I can forward their text message to 7726.

Please advise.  Thank you!

@Elizabeth888   Open the messaging app, select the text you want to forward and hold down on it.  You’ll see it come up.  Select forward text.  It’ll should look like a right pointing arrow, click it and you can forward the message

It's obviously a scam! The link in it is not even to EE (domain ee.co.uk).

There are many of these going the rounds. EE would never send you a msg asking you to click on a link in order to access your a/c.

Report spam texts to your network provider by forwarding the text to 7726 (S.P.A.M. on your keypad).

And to add, if a text message tells you there's a problem with your account, the easiest way to check whether it's correct or not, is to check your account with the provider in question.

This would apply to any service provider or indeed most banks/financial institutions.

Thank you very much, Chris, I’ve sent my message to 7726 successfully!  👍😊🙏
