I just got a call from someone using the name Joseph Harvey from this number 020 459 96876 stating they were from an EE call centre from North London and were going to give me 40% off my contract a month.
He asked how much I pay a month, I said you should know that if you're from EE. He replied saying its a security question so I have the amount I pay a month. Then said you're bill would be reduced to such amount and you will receive the relevant paperwork to your home address just confirm your postcode. I replied it's the postcode on the account. He then replied with the same, for security I'll need the postcode from you. I refused to give it. He then got irritated with me and said I shouldn't waste peoples time and he was going to call the police on me.
Thankfully I knew it was a scam call from the beginning and was playing along. But be aware everyone

I got the same Scam call offering 40% from 08445008514.
If I had more time, I would be played with it longer to waste his time, but it was clear from the start that it was a scam.
The hard bit is to not say anything like "yes", "OK", "Proceed" etc as they can use that bit of recording if they manage to get your details to set you up on some deal.
See the film "The Bee Keeper" as to what to do with these people!
