@Jaov : It's a scam! There are many of these going the rounds. EE would never send you a msg asking you to click on a link in order to update your a/c.

Report it to EE by forwarding it to 7726 (S.P.A.M. on your keypad).

That domain, faked to look like EE, was only created yesterday in Malaysia.

I reckon there must be a leak and/or public list with regards to EE phone numbers/accounts which have signed up to DirectDebit payments. Never have I received such a text in almost a decade of being with EE, until last month when I finally signed up for DD payments. Coincidence? Possibly.

Hi @urbanexplorer,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

There haven't been any leaks of EE customer information, so this message must have coincidentally arrived after you changed to pay monthly.

Please see Spam and phishing - How to stay safe and report it for useful tips on dealing with phishing scams.

Hope this helps.

James

I've not set up a direct debit either and been with EE for nearly 6 years , recently got the scam text so got nothing to do with having a list signed up for direct debit payments,

They target random ee customers no matter how long they've been ee customer so if you haven't got any so far you've just been lucky I guess!

My iPhone doesn't have a 'Forward' option for SMSs
Sending anything to 7726 just gets 'undelivered'

I'm pretty sure that the link, ee.bill323.com is a fake.
SMS was from 07926 041110

Your move.

I also received this text just now. I entered my log in details (password was wrong which but it let me through, which is how I realised it is a scam) and my phone number before clicking the next page and noticed it asked for bank details. I knew I had already paid my bill so i clicked off it. It should be fine right? No bank details no money taken? Anxiety is high rn 😅
