Today I got a random email telling me that after 12 months I would lose my monthly trade in discount as I had not returned an old Apple device. This is clearly a scam from a company purporting to be EE. They asked me to contact them at [email protected]. I cannot believe that after a year these idiots think I am stupid. If this is EE outsourcing to a third party I will cancel my contract and go elsewhere. As usual the email was a no reply address. Be careful of scams like this.

HI @Jgould54
Have you recently performed an upgrade? Did it included a trade-in as part of the deal?

Hi Ali,
I upgraded about a year ago. So why I got this email so late in the day heaven knows. I traded in my old phone, and sent it back.
if these people are the chosen outsourced firm who manage this stuff, how has it taken them so long now to tell me they don’t have it? It’s crazy.

Hi @Jgould54
It does seem peculiar that they would be chasing you up a year later.
I'd like to see if I can help you get to the bottom of this. I'll send you private message. Please check your inbox and get back to me when you can.
Thanks
Ali
