I've just received a call from 020 3935 1458 from someone claiming to be from EE. They offered me free data for my 30-day plan and asked me to provide a verification code that had been sent to me by text. They said the code was needed to create a personal account for me.
The text message appeared to come from EE, and I had received it shortly before the call regarding the same offer.
Could you please confirm whether this call and offer were genuine, and whether I should be concerned about having shared the verification code?
