I keep getting calls on my mobile from Chinese? speaking women. I keep blocking the numbers but they keep changing so it is hard to stop them. This happens every day. Can anyone suggest how I can stop them? I have an iphone and apart from blocking each number after it comes in I cannot see any other options. Many thanks

Hello @Rushley99

Welcome to the community.

Are the calls coming from a mobile or landline number?

Katie

Hello Katie, They are coming from mobile numbers and are using different numbers each time even though I keep blocking the numbers.

Hi @Rushley99,

That must be very frustrating.

If they are coming from different mobile numbers, it isn't going to be possible to proactively block them unfortunately.

If it continues to be a problem, our Customer Care Team on 150 can assign you a new mobile number, although I understand that comes with its own inconveniences.

I don’t really want to change my number having gone through that pain a year ago. I shall have to keep blocking each number. I have sent unknown numbers straight to voicemail so I am hoping they may eventually stop. Can this be reported to Ofcom, would they be able to do anything? Thanks

Unfortunately not, @Rushley99, as the nuisance caller or callers are dialling from a different number each time, there just isn't a way to filter their calls without stopping other genuine callers from contacting you.

No point in blocking or VM'ing each no. The next time it will be from a diff random no.
