I recently moved from Gifgaff to Spusu which is on the EE network. Since then, I've not been able to send spam phone numbers to 7726 like I used to. I get a red 'could not deliver' notification under the text. Nothing else on my IOS has changed so am assuming this is something EE unfortunately doesn't support? Which makes me want to go back Gifgaff. And no, I didn't have any credit on the other network, only a set contract per month so literally the only thing that's changed is the carrier. I checked the other chats about this and there's no satisfactory resolutions. EE help pages are still telling users to message 7726 but I've seen across multiple other forums that people have been having this issue since last year, and only on EE.
Any idea why EE doesn't support this as in my opinion, it's a fundamental responsibility of the networks to look into spam and if I can't find a satisfactory resolution, I'll be moving back.

Instead Report spam calls by filling the form @ https://www.bt.com/exp/help/contact-bt/form/scams
As far as I know EE still accept 7726 texts (useless for named senders) but prefer the above form.

EE does support shortcode spam reporting, but by being an MVNO customer you're not with EE.
There is a popular misconception that because an MVNO uses a particular network to provide radio coverage, that additional services are automatically the same and that you should query aspects of your service with the operator directly - this is not the case.
You should contact Spusu to query this, as you are their customer, not EE's. I know some limitations of Spusu Mobile cf EE-direct, I suspect shortcodes are another - but you would need to confirm with them.
