Why would a "traditional barbershop" be ringing me to offer a 45% discount on my mobile phone bill?
 
I just had a call from a Southend-on-Sea phone number (01702 528567) where the caller with a "foreign accent" was offering me a 45% discount on my mobile phone bill. SCAM!!!
 
Turns out the real owner of the number has nothing to do with my mobile provider and is infact a legitimate business "traditional barber" in Southend-On-Sea!
 
Turns out the owner of the number, who I have called knew nothing about this and is looking into it!

Hi Guys! I have had this call three times. The first two asked to verify my email and name. I simply suggested that if they were contacting from the service provider they would already know this. They waffled for a bit before I hung up. The third time they offered me a new phone and unlimited everything for £35 pm plus 45% discount, on a two year contract. I suggested that they had not done the maths as a new phone is around a £1000+ and their figures were financial suicide. They hung up!
