trying to get sim activated

just wasted over 50mins calling EE via landline as sim broken.  my new sim arrived today and had to phone via landline as sim not connecting,  was on hold for over 40mins before some guy from falkirk answered, then answer 10mins, he's tring to activate the sim, then tells me he cant do it and will transfer me to tech, low and behold no-one in tech, and he tells me to phone back 2moro.  lthats almost an hour on the phone, complete waste of time AND MONEY, and i need to phone back again tomorrow.  i need this sim activated asap, and if not done before lunchtime tomorrow, i will be using anotehr provider.   anyone else know how i can get this new sim activated.
