my simcard is inactive and closed

Hi all,

I purchased my EE SIM card several years ago while outside the UK. I used it primarily to receive SMS, but it was deactivated about a year ago, and I haven’t received any SMS since then.

Is there any way to have it reactivated?

I now live in Austria and use a valid Austrian SIM card.

Thanks,

This has the classic symptoms of a PAYG line that's been hibernated due to lack of chargeable usage.

See https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Pay-as-you-go/What-is-pay-as-you-go-and-flex-hibernation-and-how-do-I-...

If your SIM was deactivated over a year ago, then that's (at best) 9months, or (at worst) a year too late.
