I wonder if someone can help me here. My daughter is studying in China and has an EE SIM (on my account) in her Iphone, she has asked me to find out what is needed to convert that to an eSIM so she can dual load a China Mobile SIM at the same time. Is there a process to convert an actual SIM into an eSIM? Is there a cost associated to this and how would it work, to get my daughter the eSIM and have her download the information whilst in China?

Others more familiar, are better placed to advise on the exact process for a pSIM > eSIM swap, but be aware that attempting this abroad does run the risk of not having a working SIM whilst abroad.
If that does happen, it can only be resolved from the UK.

Hi @Lyonshammer
Thanks for coming to the community, I hope your Daughter is having a brilliant time studying in China 🙂
You can find information on transferring to an eSIM in our Set up and use an eSIM Help page.
As @bristolian has advised we can't guarantee this would register when out of the UK and she may be without an EE SIM.
Hope this helps.

I can imagine, it's always a worry when they go off to another country and you can't always check on them @Lyonshammer.
If you need any further help, please let us know 🙂
