Morning all,
I have just signed up with EE, currently 3, I have the e-sim QR code. I am transferring my number over and would like to know when I should activate the e-sim? I want to maximise the downtime when my number ports over and I am worried that if I activate the e-sim now it will not work until transfer day?? Thank you in advance.

Hi @NEILARM.
Welcome to the community.
It is great to hear you are moving over to EE.
You can activate the eSIM at any time. It will start off with a temporary mobile number and be ready to use, then your number can be ported over to replace that number.
Did you give your PAC when taking out the new plan?

I don't have access to your account here to check it @NEILARM, but it wouldn't port the number across until you have your SIM up and running.
If you activate the eSIM today or tomorrow, and make a call from the temporary number, it would start the process to transfer the number, which would go through on Tuesday.
