I have just moved from BT mobile to EE and got a new handset at same time. EE have given a new number to my new handset. What do I do to transfer my old number please? PAC code? Or do I swap my SIM from old phone to new phone?

You'll need to have the new SIM in the new phone. Has your number transfer completed yet?

Nope! I have had nothing. I am on the live chat and waiting to be answered on the phone. Wait times are 30 minutes! This really isnt good enough. I had an email saying that BT had moved over our old number to the new provider (EE!) but since then nothing.
There is also another new number appearing on my log in so now I have TWO new mobile numbers. How on earth do you get to speak to someone about all of this.
Do I need a PAC code?
You have though billed me!

Have you restarted your new phone since you received the message that your number transfer was completed?

So finally got through to someone in the UK. The port has been delayed for the new handset and additionally the other number that is just porting without a new handset has given me a PAC code which apparently I dont need (so why give it to me!). The SIM for this phone has been delayed and should be coming today and I have been told to take out old BT SIM, put in NEW EE SIM, make a call and it should work.
What I have learnt from all of this is dont let BT Mobile or EE push you into moving too much at one time. Do one thing at a time and let it bed in before you do the next thing!
I am due a call back tomorrow as I waited over 40 mins to get through on the phone and they offered me the call due to the problems I have experienced. The Live Chat was useless and is offshored.

The port never went ahead despite being told it was due to go over yesterday. I only found out there was an issue when I eventually got to speak to someone. They called the porting team to be told they didnt know what was delaying it but its likely to be today!

Got my new SIM. Put in my handset and guess what. It still shows the temp number! Cannot get through to EE anyway!

Hi @Bolt12,
Please allow a little time for your number port to complete. The port wouldn't be started until you have received your new SIM, to avoid you being left without service.
Your old BT SIM will continue to work until the number transfer completes.
