I have just upgraded my son's phone to iphone 14, yesterday his phone is now reading no sim and he can't make call or text messages. I believed his number would have just transferred over as it was only an upgrade

Have you received the new device?
That's right the upgrade should just take place and services change to the SIM in use.

@eipie73 Have you put the SIM card in the device?
