Unlock SIM to use handset on a different network

I have a handset that used to have an EE SIM.  I have moved to a different network and need to unlock the device.  I have entered a PIN incorrectly and locked the device.  I have followed the EE advice to unlock the device, which requires me to enter a 15 digit IMEI.  I have done this several times, but keep getting the following error message:

"!Please try that again
Sorry, something went wrong on our end. Please enter your IMEI again or come back later"

I have tried several times over the course of the last couple of weeks.

What do I need to do to unlock the device?

@Stephen115   If you’re having issues with the online request form you need to call customer service to make this request.

Just to add when you put the IMEI number on the web form do not include any spaces and do not copy and paste it if you’re doing this on the device itself.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
