I have just upgraded my mobile phone from an Apple iPhone 6 to an iPhone 12. At the same time, EE sent me a new SIM card, so I put that into the new phone. Everything else works, but I cannot now connect to the EE mobile network. I have checked coverage and apprently we have good coverage at the moment, according to EE, but my new phone really will not connect. I have tried all the usual things, including rebooting the network connections, but nothing works. I cannot make outgoing calls nor receive incoming calls or texts. What next?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

A replacement SIM is often supplied with upgrade phones incase there's a problem with your current SIM or it doesn't fit your new phone.
if your existing SIM still works and fits your new phone, simply insert it and carry on.

Hi @JohnJames3
Thanks for coming here.
Is the old SIM card still working?
Did you activate the new SIM in your My EE account?
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.
