Transferring old number

Hi,

I am trying to switch to EE from TalkTalk.

On 23/12/25 I used the text route (Port In Service) of entering the mobile number I wanted to transfer and the PAC reference but have heard nothing since.

The EE mobile number that came with the SIM card is working, but I wanted to transfer my old number which TalkTalk have now disconnected completely.

Not sure what to do next, or if this is a TalkTalk or EE issue

TalkTalk is a landline provider, but you're talking about PAC and mobile, so I suspect you're confused with Talk Mobile. I only say this to point out this advice is for mobile, not landlines.

A PAC is normally actioned the working day after you supply it to EE, so in your case that should be either the 24th or 29th, depending when on the 23rd you supplied it. If before 5.30pm or so, then it's actioned that day for port-in on 24th. If it was after working hours, then it's treated as submitted on the 24th, and thus the 29th.

Once the PAC is provided to EE, you are now their customer and not that of TalkMobile. If your TM service has been disconnected, that's a good indication of port-in complete. Out of interest, when did this happen?

You should have received some notification of timings from EE, and if you've not, I would strongly recommend contacting CS on 150. They have access to your individual account (and thus port-in) and can advise further.
