Transferring number with PAC

Just transferred from BT. They have sent me the PAC and I can confirm it on their website.
When I enter that code (9 characters) into the transfer my number page, the EE site is coming up with the message 'Please make sure you enter the right code. Your PAC will look like...'
I get the same message when I try and change the number via a PC or a phone, so its not a device setting.
How do I resolve?
