Transferring number to new phone, but keeping EE account

Hi, I currently have two phone, a personal and work phone on 02. My employers are happy for me to transfer my personal number to my work device, but I also want to keep my personal account. The tel number on that account isn’t important. I just need to keep it for the data.

is it possible to take my EE number to my 02 work account and be given a new number for my personal EE account?

No, once you port your EE no. to O2 your EE a/c is totally cancelled.

Also if you were to move your personal no. to a work a/c you might have difficulty in ever getting it back. It will be entirely at the whim of the work's a/c manager at the time.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Also bear in mind whether you want to have all your work & personal usage inseparable.

There can be massive benefit during periods of holiday for example, in keeping the two separate. Personal choice as always.

As already pointed out, your personal number will belong to someone else if you transfer the ownership and you will be reliant on their goodwill to retrieve it should you have the need.
