I was assured by my previous provider Plusnet that my old number would be transferred to my new provider EE . After reading info given it said allow 24 hours and your old number will be active but this is not the case. What should I do. Not a very good start to EE.

Thanks for coming here and joining EE.
The number port would not complete on the weekend. If you submit the form before 5.30pm on a working day, we will endeavour to have your number transferred the following working day.
If your request is made after 5.30pm, or made on a weekend or bank holiday, your number will take two working days to transfer.
When did you receive the SIM and complete the number transfer?
