So Im transferring my number from vodaphone to EE. I’ve revived the PAC code ect as gave them all the details on the shop. They said just to go home, put the new sim in and make a call to activate the card. Then then said within 24 hours my old number will port over to my new EE sim. But nothing as happened yet ?.

assuming that You posting this OVER THE WEEKEND, that might be an explanation, for why it hasn't happened yet...

Portation (using PAC) is happening only Monday to Friday typically, and if You gave them PAC code in the Shop on Friday, the earliest opportunity to process it will be Today, Monday ANYTIME over the day.

When You put your new SIM card in your phone, it will pick up a TEMPORARY number, which You don't need to worry too much about, because will be soon replaced by The number You bringing into EE, once the portation commences.

If You don't have any service on a new SIM card whatsoever, it might also mean, that the shop set up a future date as the activation date, even if it's quite unusual to do so.
