Transfer from BT

When I transferred from BT this week I was promised porting of my existing number within 24 hours.

I now discover that porting will only take place on 5th December - which causes me considerable problems.  Why was this not part of the information given during the transfer discussion?

Is there anything that can be done to get my existing number ported sooner?

Not a good start to my EE relationship!

Thanks for coming here. 

We are unable to port numbers on a weekend, this would be Monday for you when the number will transfer. 

I am sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Not helpful.

It wasn’t the weekend when it should have been ported.  We only got to the weekend because EE failed to do what it said it would do earlier this week.

Really poor start from EE - you should not make such statements if you cant deliver.
