Switching from PAYG to contract

Hi, I'm currently on a £10 30 day PAYG SIM which costs £9 after discount for recurring payment and gives me 8Gb data, 500 minutes and EU roaming. I can't see any contract SIM that matches this even with the 20% discount from switching, so what is the point of switching?

Probably cheaper EU roaming & certainly much cheaper US & 4 other countries roaming + sundry other benefits like eSIMs.
