SIM Port Query

I have just received my SIM only contract SIM, I am porting my number from the old network, I put the SIM in my phone and made a call (around 7.30pm) as instructed, How long will it take for my number to port?  I am unable to locate any general instructions or 'Frequently Asked Questions' which would pertain to this query, which I find poor, as other networks provide this info upfront.

Also I cannot find information in relation to Voice Mail settings > extended rings etc.

Are their any mobile connection settings I am expected to set up manually, or will it all be auto done once the new SIM is inserted into my device?

If you have inserted your SIM after approx 5pm today, it will initially have a temporary number. Your PAC will be submitted tomorrow, 29/02 and number should port-in on Friday 01/03.

Within 1 working day of you activating your SIM.

There are no settings you need to change.
