hi my father has just had a new phone which has come with a new EE SIM his old number apparently. He is quite elderly and doesn't have wi-fi so setting up the phone was a nightmare. Once we had the phone set up the SIM is not showing as registered on the network. We tried to register the SIM  by entering his mobile number but no text has come through, presumably as the SIM isn't working. Could anyone offer any suggestions.

@ncartwr01 , does his old SIM card still work? You do not need to use a new SIM card, if the old SIM card still works, put that one in and see if it works, otherwise you will have to ring customer service. You can do this from any other phone or using Skype, here is the free number: 08000798586.
