SIM Card Muddle

I've received 2 SIMs - 1 for my phone and 1 for my router. None of the paperwork or communications alluded to which was which.

I've registered them both on my.ee as mobile device SIMs but my usage is saying I only have 10GB for the one I put in my router, and nothing about the one my phone - the drop-down doesn't even select it!

How do I get this mess fixed?

Hi @Corster

Welcome to the community.

If you have a chat with our Mobile Care team, they'll be able to look into this and clarify which SIM is which.

Chris

Thanks.
The reason I went on this chat was because the customer care team wasn't available at the time. Like many people, I don't have the luxury of free time in the week (or the weekend, now, for that matter) - hence why I'm replying at gone midnight.
I figured it out for myself. I received four SIMs in total; the two original SIMs and two replacement SIMs because the first two took so long to arrive. I thought the original SIMs would have been voided but that's not the case.
Finally, I had to register my SIMs in the app, only to notice the one I put in my router was showing as using an allowance of 10GB, despite the support tech I called originally to chase the SIMs telling me that number was for the phone.

All-in-all, I've not had a good experience so far. I'm just hoping the connection is reliable, because I don't want to have to go through the labyrinth of options again. I call a number because I have an issue I can't solve using the knowledgebase - I don't want to have to navigate that crap on the phone, too!

If you're in a position to forward a suggestion (I work in data, so I know a few things), please could you ask the BI team to include the part of the plan that the SIM is for on the despatch note? It may save many customers much confusion and your contact centre a few daily calls.

I'm glad you managed to figure this out, @Corster. Thanks for letting us know.

That's a great suggestion, I'll definitely pass it on. 🙂
