Refund of credit when asking for a pac code

I'm on a (soon to be discontinued) old tmobile trarrif that EE took over around 10 years ago,

I notice that you can now ask for a refund when requesting a pac code (I have around £90)

Are there any terms and conditions relating to the refund, does it matter what the reason was for adding the credit,

Does the fact that I was receiving unlimited texts and data after each £10 top up (I still retain the credit) prevent me from asking for a refund for that credit

Contacted customer services yesterday and they confirmed that I can ask that my credit balance be refunded when I ask for a pac code,

In hindsight wish I had known this new code of practice was being introduced 20 odd years ago

I would have had about £1000 refund coming lol

Isn't it a new EECC  code of practice (dated from April I believe)

That when you ask for a pac code and transfer away, you can ask for a refund of your airtime credit

Is there? Then quote it & show it applies to UK.
