SIMS AND EE

Morning one and all I would have preferred to keep this private so I tried the route of Facebook messenger but EE in their wisdom would not respond to my query so here goes - Good morning y short and costly visit to EE Mobile - I decided to switch my main mobile from ID to EE which should have been an easy little task. A SIM was posted to me only for me to find I do not have a SIM tray on my phone so I phoned and spoke to a very helpful lady who talked me through and said she would send me a esim and instructions I could not make head nor tail of them and a friend offered to take it to the local EE shop - owing to health issues travelling/walking far is not an option - the man also very helpful - said he could not do it he needed the original SIM so that would involve another journey for my friend and more cost for me   so in my wisdom I decided to cancel the contract spoke to Gary lovely chap on Saturday he said that was fine and I was still in cancellation time I said don't cancel the PAYG account which I had just set up but lo and behold that was cancelled too and my first payment on the main phone had gone through my bank - so need a refund on that please!  Now onto the PAYG I have health issues and been told that I need to carry my phone with me  I don't because the phone is big and cumbersome so decided to buy a little NOKIA 105 lovely little phone just a simple no fuss phone ordered a EE Sim inserted it nothing so put a top up of £5 on it to kick start it nothing so fiddled and fiddled nothing so sent that phone back and bought another same make and repeated the process this time with a different SIM and putting a fiver on it so that is £10 spent and this last transaction I did more or less at the same time that my account was closed - I have absolutely no access to it.......... I also ordered a Giff Gaff SIM and a new different make phone - tried the EE Sim nothing tried the Giff Gaff Sim hey presto it was live immediately and all good - so sorted however I am £22.00 down and £10 that I paid my friend to cover petrol and parking  thanks to EE and I would like a refund I know it is nothing to a lot of people but feel this refund should be forthcoming post haste. I would like to say the humans that I have spoken to at EE have been extremely pleasant and helpful but please less of the AI and robotics  end for now

Morning I have now bought and fitted a Giff Gaff SIM and my emergency phone is now working - I have reverted to ID Mobile for my main phone and my landline is with BT alongwith my television and broadband. With that in mind I am now sorted and have no intention of using EE ever or should I say trying to use EE!!  So I do not see any reason to spend half an hour or so on the phone to EE trying to resolve the situation as far as I am concerned I cancelled within the time limit therefore £12.00 is owed to me I the spent  2 x £5 on top up thinking that was the reason the SIM wld not kick in and also if you are feeling particularily generous I also paid a friend £10  to take the phones to the EE shop to set up!  I have health issues and therefore am unable to walk very far so a personal visit to the shop is out of the question for me!  The only saving grace in this fiasco is that the humans that I have spoken to from EE have all been lovely and I wish them well.  I will not be recommending EE to anybody I know or anybody who asks my opinion on EE.
