My contract ends on the 21st April 2024. I only have one number on my account. I've text PAC to 65075 to give my 30 days notice but I get this reply:
Sorry, we were unable to process your request. Please retry and if you continue to receive this message, call us on 150.
Why do I not receive my pac code?

@cbbella You do know it’s 31 days till that date. Requesting a PAC code is only to move to the number to a different number it’s not giving notice until you actually port that number. If you don’t port it without n the 30 days your tariff will continue on a 30 day rolling contract.

Ok so how should I do this as I thought requesting a pac code is effectively giving 30 days notice.
Should I wait until the 21st April or a few days before and then port my number to a new provider

Hi @cbbella.
If you have requested a PAC code this will need to be provided to your new provider within 30 days.

@cbbella : Yes, it is best to give your PAC to new provider in last few days of your contract term so you have little or no overlap.

So if I get my pac code and give it to a new provider on or a couple of days before before my contract ends on the 21st April does that mean I won't be charged another month's service as that would effectively means I've given my 30 days notice that I'm leaving ee from that date or should I ring tomorrow to tell them I'm leaving on the 21st April and give my 30 days notice from tomorrow.
This confusing so bare with me lol

@cbbella : That's correct. It should take 1 working day from when you give the PAC to the new network until your no. is ported. As 21 April is on a w/end I should give PAC to new network on 19 April for port to take place on 22 April.
By using a PAC you don't need to give EE any notice. Don't confuse matters by calling EE & giving 30 days notice. You either use a PAC or you give notice. You can't do both.
