I've recently added a new second eSim to my iPhone to port over another number from O2. I had all the confirmation emails from EE on the 23rd of January, but so far, it looks as though the port has failed, as when I dial out, it sends the original EE temporary number and no one can dial in as it just goes straight to voicemail.
Also iMessage doesn't work, so the EE help desk sending lots of texts to try and be helpful, was frankly useless and I can't send any messages on the ported line either.
So is there a way to check on the ported status? In my account online it looks as though it's ported over, but just doesn't work.
Many thanks,
Stuart.

Thanks @stuartgoble, can you please make sure that your phone is fully up to date at the moment?
Also it's worth trying a network settings reset on your phone too.
To do this go into Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset network Settings > Enter PIN (if required).
At this point, your phone will power off automatically, then switch itself back on.
Don't worry, you won't lose any personal data such as contacts or photos with this reset, but you will need to provide your password next time you connect to WiFi.

As an update, Bartlomioej from EE had to reset the network config and it looks as though the porting has now gone through and the new line works.
I'm still having issues with the presentation number, though, as it still comes up as the old temp one. Interestingly, even though I've removed the old O2 SIM, the iPhone still remembers that number and config, and I can't seem to change it to the new number on the eSIM.
Very odd.

Hi @stuartgoble, welcome back to the Community!
I'm really glad to hear that Bartlomioej has helped get the port sorted out and the right details are coming through when you call now.
When it comes to the number, if you go to Settings > Apps > Phone > My number, what is showing in here and will it let you amend this?

Hi Peter,
If I look at the 'My Number' settings in the iPhone, it shows the temp number, but any attempt to change it fails. I can go in and make the changes, but they don't save.
I've tried power cycling the phone a few times to see if it'll pick it up from the eSIM but to no avail.
I also don't understand why the iPhone is remembering the old physical SIM with the number on it, even though it's been removed and I can see no way of deleting that entry.
Many thanks,
Stuart.

Awesome Peter,
That worked, and I'd completely forgotten about resetting the network settings so thanks for the help on this one.

I'm happy to hear that resetting your network settings has sorted this @stuartgoble.
Thanks for coming back and letting us know 🙂
