Porting issue - Virgin to EE

I didn't get any messages notifying me that the porting has begun.

As things stand I can't accept calls to the number I want to keep.  I can send texts on the EE Sim and they're showing received on the recipient's phone as from my old number, so the text side has ported.

I can still make outgoing calls on the old Virgin SIM though and that's shows the same old number on the recipient's phone.

So, I'm half ported - but am anxious that it's going to stay like this.  Is this normal? A "it'll all sort itself out in an hour or two" would be very reassuring.

Number ports can take until midnight on the day of the transfer to fully complete.

No, it's still the same.

The old SIM (Virgin) still displays the old number and still allows me to make calls on the old number, the EE SIM allows me to take texts - so the job is half done.

I think I'm in a worse situation. I requested the transfer on Sunday or Monday.  I was advised there'd be a delay given the Bank Holiday.  So it starting on the Wednesday didn't come as a surprise.

The fact it's half worked is my problem.  I've old number texts on the new EE SIM and am still making calls on the Virgin SIM on the number I'm tryng to port.  It's a mess!

I've already called and have it sorted.  It's all my silly fault for trying to port a SIM that came with a tablet.  No calls!

EE's are blameless, I'm just an idiot!!
