Hey - I have cancelled my old ee contract, got a PAC. & signed back up with ee on a sim only but they’re saying they can’t take the PAC because it’s the same network.
if I move the number to another network (payg) & then get another PAC can I move it back to ee within a few days or do I have to wait 30 days?

A PAC is for transferring your number between networks, not within one - that is what an upgrade is for.
EE have no restrictions on porting-in, but you would have to ask your chosen intermediary network as to whether they have any minimum time.

You can't cancel your contract & get a PAC for the same no. at the same time. It's 1 or t'other! Anyway a PAC is for moving to another network. If you've cancelled your contract you can no longer get a PAC for it.
If you haven't actually cancelled your contract but just got a PAC, you can use the PAC to port the no. to another network's PAYG & then get a PAC from them to port it back to your new EE contract. How long you'll need to wait will depend on the other network's rules.

Do you know any timescales rules for other networks by any chance?
I'd recommend asking on other's fora, this is an EE community,
Both Vodafone & O2 have a community forum you could enquire of. EE's advice would be to upgrade your phone directly with them.

I believe many require you to wait 30 days before porting out.
