Yesterday I received my new sim from EE which I ordered 4 days previously. I want to transfer my number from BT. When I ordered the sim it asked for my old number and PAC code. On the confirmation email it says: "Once you’ve received your order, insert your new EE sim into your device, to complete your number being moved to EE and your account being closed with your old network provider."
I've inserted my new sim (after 17:30 yesterday) but it is not using my old number.
However, in the delivery there was instructions saying to goto ee.co.uk/transfermynumber.
When I try this link and enter my PAC code I get a message saying: "Please make sure you enter the right code. Your PAC will look like ABC123456. Your STAC will look like 123456ABC."
So which is the correct bit of information and why is my old number not transferred? has something gone wrong?

Hi @OllyH
Welcome to the community.
It depends on how this was set up originally. Do you have a PAC code?

I had the same problem - see my earlier post.
If you were told that transfer would take 24hrs then, like me, you were fooled. After complaint, it transpires that it takes 5 days to transfer your old BT number. Mine will not be live until 5th December.
Really poor practice from EE and they are almost impossible to contact to complain. I am not impressed so far and would encourage others to look elsewhere.
Good luck with your transfer!!

Hi Chris,
Cheers for your reply.
I have the PAC code and gave it when I ordered the sim. But I've resolved this now by phoning 150 it seems putting the sim in my phone set off the transfer process, but it will take 4 days!
Incidentally someone from EE rang me yesterday asking if I needed help with my new sim so I said yes and explained the issue. They said sorry they cant help so I should ring 150. Then they went on to try to sell me a load of stuff. I'm not massively impressed!
Regards,
Oliver.

We are new EE Mobile customers from BT mobile. The new EE SIMS arrived today (Saturday and a day late) with the PAC codes sent to us from BT by SMS last Wednesday.
Reading stuff about the transfer it would appear "we will do everything to transfer your number with 24hrs. But it may take longer at weekends"
It is now the weekend (Saturday) and I need to use my phone for urgent and important stuff tomorrow. So I'm a bit reluctant to pop in the SIM and start the process.
What is the usual time delay in the real world?

Hi @DaveRout
Welcome to the community and our community.
When you put the SIM cards in, they'll activate with a temporary number. If you have supplied us with a PAC on a weekend, it will complete the following working day (Monday, unless there's a Bank Holiday). It can go through at any point during the day so I would recommend taking both the old phone and SIM, and the new phone and SIM with you.

Hello @akbarzadeh_7554.
Have you just joined EE or are you looking to transfer numbers from one EE SIM to another?

Exactly the same issues - with two contracts transferring from BT to EE.
After an hour and ten minutes on a chat with two different people at EE, one of the numbers will transfer in 3 days; the other in 22 days ??? No answer to why it would take so long for the second transfer.
If only I had some confidence that in three days one of the new sims will be active on the old number.
What joy. EE - you have made my life complete. I wonder if Kevin Bacon had these problems.
